They say a picture is worth a thousand words, well in fact when I saw this picture it did indeed speak to me in many ways. When I saw this picture the first thought to flood my mind was my struggle with G.A.D (General Anxiety Disorder) I feel a connection to the depicted character. The pink figure is what the world will see and what I want them to see, I don’t want them to know that I struggle with the littlest things mentally. The green figure and the arms to me represent the the demons within. I see 4 hands have a grasp on her what happens if the other 7 hands are to get ahold of her. Will she tear apart will her outer shell crack, will they realize she is terrified. Imagine everyday having this battle within yourself its exhausting mentally and physically. There is no explaining this to those who don’t understand anxiety because the typical response is “Then stop worrying.” Let me tell you something if it was that easy I would not have to deal with this. So let me ask you this, even if you don’t have anxiety take a few minutes and look at this image…What it make you feel?
